Children's COVID vaccinations and other immunizations: Your questions, answered

With children ages 5 to 11 soon to be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, parents may have questions about the vaccine and what to expect afterward. Calin Kirk, M.D., will answer some common questions about the vaccine and other routine vaccinations for this age group.

About Calin Kirk, M.D.

Dr. Kirk graduated from University of Oklahoma before attending medical school at University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and graduating from OU School of Community Medicine in Tulsa in 2015. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at OU-Tulsa in 2018. She currently practices full-time with Cherokee Nation in Jay, OK. She enjoys providing care for the entire family and focusing on prevention and wellness.

Dr. Kirk is married to a public school teacher and coach. They have two sons. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, being outside - whether at the lake, in the woods, or at the ball fields - and spending time with family.
